Spring Green
Offering river-valley beauty and small town charm

About 20 miles north of Dodgeville is a quaint community committed to the arts. Once the home of world-famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, Spring Green has many novel attractions. His famous home, Taliesin, was built just south of town, overlooking the Wisconsin River. Tours are available through the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center housed in the former Spring Green Restaurant, the only restaurant ever designed by Wright.

The House on the Rock, Wisconsin's No. 1 tourist attraction, is located close to Spring Green. Originally built as a retreat atop a 450-foot rock, the 13-room house is extraordinary sight. The complex has expanded into a museum featuring an odd collection of things, including the world's largest carousel and a gigantic sea creature longer than the Statue of Liberty is tall.

If you like to golf, you'll enjoy The Springs, one of Wisconsin's premier golfing resorts which was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., two-time U.S. Open champion Andy North and Roger Packard. Across the street is The American Players Theater, an outdoor amphitheater, that presents Shakespearean productions and other classics throughout the summer season. Spring Green is a picturesque community where you can revel in the peace and serenity of the countryside.
